Samsung Opens Two New Brand Stores in Kunduchi and Ubungo, Showcasing the Full Samsung Consumer Experience

Samsung Electronics East Africa has today officially opened two new Samsung Brand Stores in Kunduchi and Ubungo, strengthening its presence in Tanzania and reinforcing its commitment to delivering a complete, connected consumer experience that brings together mobile technology and consumer electronics under one roof.
The two Brand Stores are designed to showcase Samsung’s full ecosystem by integrating Mobile and Consumer Electronics products in a single, immersive retail environment. Through these stores, customers can experience first-hand how Samsung devices work seamlessly together to support everyday life, from communication and entertainment to home living and productivity.

The official opening ceremonies were attended by key stakeholders, business partners, members of the media, and a Guest of Honour, highlighting the importance of the investment to Tanzania’s growing digital and retail landscape.
Speaking during the launch, Mobile Business Head Samsung Electronics East Africa ( Tanzania) Mgope Kiwanga, said the opening of the two Brand Stores reflects Samsung’s long-term strategy for the Tanzanian market.

“The opening of our Brand Stores in Kunduchi and Ubungo marks an important step in bringing the full Samsung Consumer Experience closer to our customers. These stores allow us to demonstrate how our mobile devices and consumer electronics connect as one ecosystem, making technology more practical, accessible, and relevant to everyday life,” said Kiwanga.
Unlike standard retail outlets, the Brand New Stores are larger, purpose-built spaces that tell a complete brand story. Customers can explore the latest Samsung Galaxy smartphones, tablets, wearables, televisions, home appliances, and accessories, while experiencing smart connectivity through real-life use cases that show how devices sync and interact seamlessly.

The stores also provide hands-on product demonstrations, expert support from Samsung-trained staff, access to genuine accessories, and reliable after-sales services. This approach ensures customers not only purchase products, but also understand how to fully benefit from Samsung’s connected ecosystem.
Business Manager Samsung Tanzania Daesong Ra commended Samsung continued to investment in Tanzania and its role in supporting digital transformation and economic growth.
“The opening of these two Samsung Brand Stores in Kunduchi and Ubungo reflects strong confidence in Tanzania’s market. Such investments expand access to technology, create employment opportunities, and support skills development, which are essential for national development,” said Daesong Ra.

Beyond enhancing customer experience, the two new Brand Stores contribute to local economic empowerment through job creation and skills transfer. Samsung has invested in training local staff to become Samsung-certified, ensuring high service standards while supporting local talent.
The opening of the Kunduchi and Ubungo Stores reinforces Samsung Electronics East Africa’s commitment to Tanzania and its vision of enabling smarter, more connected lifestyles by placing innovation and customer experience at the centre of its operations.
